It is a method of age estimation, based on the microscopic examination of the central part of teeth to assess changes from wear and tear with advancing age. It is divided into following six categories.
1. Attrition
2. Paradentosis
3. Secondary dentine.
4. Root resorption.
5. Transparency of root.
6. Cementum apposition.
